“Tahrir al-Sham” Arrests Two Commanders of “Jaysh al-Nasr” in Rural Idlib
“Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” (HTS) arrested commanders of the “Jaysh al-Nasr” (Army of Victory) dissolved in the “National Front for Liberation” in rural Idlib.
“Tahrir al-Sham” arrested the two leaders, Capitan Muammar Khatab and leader Duraid al-Najim (Abu Basam), from their homes in the city of Khan Shaykhun during the confrontations it is undertaking against the “National Front” in Idlib and rural Aleppo, Enab Baladi’s correspondent for rural Idlib reported today, Friday (January 4).
The correspondent added that the two commanders are affiliated with the “Jaysh al-Nasr,” which basically functions in the eastern and southern rural Idlib and rural Hama.
The confrontations between “Tahrir al-Sham” and the “National Front” continue for the third consequent day without a marked progress for any of the conflicting parties.
The confrontations are at their peak in the surrounding of Darat Izza, in addition to the towns and villages of southern and eastern rural Idlib, a military source from the “National Front” said.
“Tahrir al-Sham’s” Ebaa Agency has today posted footage of more than 10 troops, saying that they belong to “Harakat Ahrar al-Sham al-Islamiyya,” who have been arrested during the confrontations in rural Idlib.

The ambush was set by “Tahrir al-Sham” on the international highway while the troops were on their way back from the fronts, Mohammad Adeeb, a member of the Media Office of the “National Front” told Enab Baladi.
On Wednesday, January 2, the “National Front” announced a state of general alarm against “Tahrir al-Sham” in Idlib “to deter its aggression.”
The National Front said that it “announces a state of general alarm of all its components, throughout the liberated areas to combat the aggression of HTS, deter the oppressor and get back all the areas it usurped.”
After the statement, the “Syrian Islamic Council” called on all the factions of the “Free Army” to fight “Tahrir al-Sham.”
According to the Council’s statement, issued yesterday, the factions of the “Free Army” shall unite to vanquish the “impious Movement” so it would not be able to return to the state of suppression.
The Council also called on “Tahrir al-Sham’s” troops to forsake it, in addition to inviting the revolutionary entities to demonstrate and protest against its aggression.
