The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) has reduced the quantities of fuel (diesel) supplied to the Furat region from 25 tankers to 12 tankers, attributing this to Turkish shelling on the infrastructure in the areas under its control.

Ahmad Rasho, the co-chair of the Directorate of Fuels in the Furat region, told Hawar New Agency close to the Autonomous Administration on Thursday, November 14, that the number of diesel tankers entering the region currently ranges from 12 to 14 tankers every two days.

The Autonomous Administration refers to the areas of Ain al-Arab/Kobani in the eastern Aleppo governorate, Tal Abyad in Raqqa governorate, and the western side of Ras al-Ain in al-Hasakah countryside as the “Furat region.”

According to Rasho, diesel allocations have decreased from 25 tankers during the same period before the Turkish escalation that the region experienced about a month ago.

He added that the Turkish attacks on oil stations caused “significant damage,” negatively affecting the distribution of heating diesel, noting that 48,000 families received their allocations, while 20,000 families are still waiting.

The official in the Autonomous Administration pointed out that the diesel shortage has also affected the transportation and industrial sectors, with a portion of these allocations designated for bakeries and agriculture.

Rasho also stated that the diesel shortage has led to the cessation of many car repair centers, indicating that the Autonomous Administration is trying to provide diesel for the families that have not yet received it.

In October, Turkey launched an airstrike campaign in response to an attack described as “terrorist” that targeted a military industries company in the capital, Ankara, with the bombardment concentrated in northern Syria and northern Iraq.

In northeastern Syria, Turkey targeted infrastructure facilities with airstrikes, leading to some being out of service, alongside other strikes that hit military sites of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the military wing of the Autonomous Administration.

On October 29, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that his country’s army struck 470 targets of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Syria and Iraq.

According to statistics issued by the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) affiliated with the Autonomous Administration, Turkey has launched a wide-ranging attack on northeastern Syria since October 23, targeting service centers, vital facilities, and infrastructure.

The attacks focused on bakeries, water and electricity stations, oil facilities, hospitals, as well as checkpoints and security posts, according to Asayish.

The total number of attacks in Syria, according to Asayish, reached 1,168 ground and air assaults, resulting in the deaths of 18 individuals, including 14 civilians, along with 68 injuries, 54 of whom were civilians.
