Turkish aircraft targeted various locations in northeastern Syria for the third consecutive day, with the latest strike occurring in the city of Qamishli in northern al-Hasakah this morning.

Reporters from Enab Baladi in al-Hasakah stated that Turkish drones bombed three military sites of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) east of Qamishli this morning, Friday, October 25, with no information yet on the extent of the damage.

The airstrikes were concentrated around Afrin roundabout and near the Animal Feed Institution.

The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) issued a statement saying that the Turkish bombardment, which took place on Thursday, was focused on Manbij in eastern Aleppo, Ain Issa in northwestern Raqqa, al-Malkiyah in eastern Aleppo, and Ras al-Ain in northern al-Hasakah, in addition to the Shahba region in the Aleppo countryside.

In turn, the SDF stated that it responded to the Turkish bombardment with strikes targeting a military base in the village of Aziziyah northwest of Tal Tamr, in northwestern al-Hasakah, achieving some casualties.

They also mentioned in a separate statement on Thursday evening that within 24 hours, the Turkish bombardment in northeastern Syria resulted in the deaths of 12 civilians and injuries to 25 others, in addition to the destruction of many homes and infrastructure facilities for energy and bakeries.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), which is the political umbrella for the SDF, stated that fuel wells and storage tanks around the Awda oil field in eastern al-Hasakah were subjected to intense Turkish bombardment, causing what they described as “significant” damage to the oil infrastructure.

Yesterday, Thursday, a US convoy toured oil facilities that had been targeted by Turkish airstrikes in the countryside of al-Malkiyah in eastern al-Hasakah province.

The North Press Agency published photos it claimed showed an American armored vehicle near an oil facility managed by the Autonomous Administration after it had been struck by a Turkish air raid, which was confirmed by Enab Baladi’s reporter in al-Hasakah at the time.

The Turkish bombardment in northeastern Syria focused on infrastructure, leading to the deactivation of some facilities, along with other airstrikes that targeted military locations of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the military wing of the Autonomous Administration, since Wednesday evening.

Turkey has intensified its air attacks targeting SDF sites in northeastern Syria, hours after an attack that took place in the Turkish capital Ankara, targeting a private military industry company, resulting in casualties.

The Turkish government accused the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) of being behind the attack, but the latter has not commented on these accusations so far, while no entity has claimed responsibility for the attack at the time of this news release.
