The Syria Civil Defense (SCD) documented the death of 42 civilians in the Ma`arat al-Nu`man area, rural Idlib, who met their fate due to the aerial and artillery shelling initiated by the Syrian regime and its Russian alley against the area.

On Friday, August 30, the SCD has posted an infographic on its “Telegram” channel, recording the death of 42 civilians, including 21 men, nine women and 12 children, in addition to 115 injured civilians, also including women and children in the period from 23rd to 28th of August.

As the infographic indicates, the number of air raids that targeted Ma`arat al-Nu`man has amounted to 138 strikes, in addition to 42 barrel bombs, 237 mortar shells and 23 rockets.

The SCD also noted that 120 families, 710 persons, were evacuated from the Ma`arat al-Nu`man to less-bombed areas, compared to those in southern rural Idlib.

Ma`arat al-Nu`man, rural Idlib, is suffering an intensive aerial and missile shelling on the part of the Syrian regime and Russia, in sync to the former’s progress on the ground, reaching areas beyond the al-Tamanah town, which the regime’s forces took over this morning.

Yesterday, August 29, the Syria Response Coordination Group (SRCG) documented the displacement of more than nine thousand civilians from the Ma`arat al-Nu`man area, rural Idlib, in 24 hours, who fled the aerial and missile shelling conducted by the Syrian regime’s forces and Russia.

The SRCG called on the local entities to set up housing centers, open schools and camps urgently to accommodate the people escaping southern rural Idlib.

On August 28, the city of Ma`arat al-Nu`man was subjected to Russian air raids, which rendered 14 civilians dead, two of whom are woman and six are children, in addition to the injury of 34 others, including women and children as well, as documented by the SCD.
