The Ministry of Administrative Development in the Syrian caretaker government has issued a circular for employees in public institutions who were dismissed by the ousted Assad regime.

Mahmoud Ghabsha, head of the Ministry of Administrative Development office, told Enab Baladi that the ministry issued a circular requesting all employees who were dismissed from their jobs due to their participation in the Syrian revolution to register on the ministry’s link in preparation for their return to work.

The link includes a form containing several questions, where the ministry urged precise data entry.

The required information includes personal details, as well as the name of the ministry where the dismissed employee worked, the start and dismissal dates, the number of years of experience, languages spoken, and whether they wish to return to the same job.

The ousted Syrian regime dismissed many employees due to their participation in protests or support for the Syrian revolution, based on security reports from intelligence branches.

The regime continued this policy until a few months before its fall; in September, the regime’s government issued a decision to dismiss 41 employees from the As-Suwayda Electricity Company due to desertion from reserve service and their participation in protests.

Following the fall of the Syrian regime on December 8, the directorates and ministries affiliated with the caretaker government issued a series of announcements calling for employees to return to their jobs.

The Ministry of Administrative Development in the caretaker government also set the official holiday for employees in all ministries and public entities in the Syrian Arab Republic for Friday and Saturday, while considering the ministries and public entities that require continuous work due to their nature or circumstances.

The leader of the Military Operations Administration, Ahmed al-Sharaa (Abu Mohammad al-Jolani), spoke about a study to raise salaries by 400%. The Minister of Health in the caretaker government, Maher al-Sharaa, confirmed that there is a plan to increase the salaries of health sector workers by 400% starting this month or the next.

In his first statement after assuming the presidency of the caretaker government, Mohammed al-Bashir said that the General Command tasked him with managing the affairs of the Syrian government during a transitional period until March 2025, aimed at taking over files and governmental institutions and ensuring the return of employees to them and activating their role to contribute to providing services to citizens.
