Unidentified assailants, through a series of simultaneous attacks with rocket-propelled grenades and bursts of gunfire, targeted security headquarters, intelligence centers, an army site, and the headquarters of al-Ba’ath party branch in the city of As-Suwayda, hours after the killing of a protester by the Syrian regime’s security forces.

It added that one of the attacks targeted Regiment 44 belonging to the regime’s army, between the city of As-Suwayda and the town of Qanawat, where an explosion echoed in the area resulting from targeting the site with a rocket-propelled grenade, without knowing the executing party.
The al-Raased page, specializing in covering the news of As-Suwayda governorate, published a video recording capturing the sounds of gunfire and shelling in the city of As-Suwayda on Wednesday evening.
In a separate post, it added that gunfire was heard from several points, including the State Security branch and the vicinity of the al-Ba’ath party branch in As-Suwayda, where the sound of bombs exploding at both points was recorded, in addition to bursts of gunfire in other areas.
Al-Raased quoted an unnamed security source as saying that the members of the security branches received instructions not to respond and hide, which as a result led to no injuries occurring on either side.
The page also published photos showing damages to civilians’ properties during the attacks carried out by unknown attackers on security headquarters.
Suwayda 24 also published photos showing a rocket-propelled grenade piercing the wall of a residential apartment in the city of As-Suwayda, resulting in severe damage inside, near the April 7th hall, where the protester was killed by regime forces on Wednesday.
